Devils roll over Oberlin

OBERLIN, Ohio Kaleena Goldsworthy (Baldwinsville/C.W. Baker) had four goals and Nicole VanEtten (Endicott/Union-Endicott) had three goals and one assist to lead the Blue Devils (3-2) to a 14-3 over Oberlin College.

Goalkeeper Sarah Wright (Rochester/Irondequoit) made 11 saves, including several from point-blank range, to support her teammates' fast start.

VanEtten scored the first two goals of the game for the Blue Devils, at 1:09 and 5:40 of the first half. Goldsworthy tallied at 8:47 for a 3-0 lead, followed by VanEtten's third goal at 12:06.

The Blue Devils eventually pulled out to a 12-1 lead before Olberlin scored twice in the late going.

Erynn Anderson (Dewitt/C.W. Baker) added two goals while Jade Gianforte (Chittenango/Chittenango) and Leslie Von Pless (Liverpool/Liverpool) had one goal and one assist each.

The Blue Devils are back in action Saturday at Elmira in another non-conference game. They open SUNYAC play Tues., April 12, with a home game vs. Buffalo State.
