Devils fall short to Oswego

FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Fredonia State fell to 0-4 in the SUNYAC with a 64-62 home loss to Oswego.

The Blue Devils (2-9 overall) trailed by as many as 10 points early in the second half, rallied for a 45-41 lead with 7:07 left on a three-pointer by Taha Alassari (Bronx/Sweet Home), but were unable to sustain their comeback effort.

Alassari finished with 17 points, including 3 of 3 from beyond the arc, while Kevin Reichlmayr (Rochester/Aquinas Institute) collected 10 points and 12 rebounds. It was Reichlmayr's second straight double-double and 10th straight game scoring in double figures.

Todd Franze (Westfield/Westfield) led the Lakers (7-5, 3-1 SUNYAC) with 18 points, 14 of them coming in the first half as his team built a 30-22 lead at intermission. Erik Roberson (Buffalo/City Honors) added 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Dominick White (San Francisco, Calif./Trinity Pawling) came of the Oswego bench to add 11 points.

The Blue Devils will again look for their first conference win they they play host to SUNY Cortland starting at 8 p.m. Saturday.
