After Alfred pulled within three points, 43-40, with 12:25 remaining, the Blue Devils (5-7) went on an 8-0 run to regain command, capped off with a three-point basket by Adam Smith (Fredonia). The Saxons (1-13) got no closer than seven points the rest of the way. Brad Cooper (Monticello) led the Blue Devils with 20 points and three steals, Kyle Gordon (Canandaigua) collected 15 points and blocked three shots, Wayne Davis (Binghamton) added 11 points and four assists, and Smith chipped in 10 points off the bench. In addition, Julius Bryant (Buffalo/Hutch Tech) added eight points and grabbed eight rebounds. For Alfred, Carl Embury (Perry) led the way with 14 points and five rebounds. Ellis Walsh (Penfield) added 11 points. Fredonia State returns to SUNYAC play over the weekend with road games at New Paltz on Friday night and Oneonta on Saturday afternoon. -------
