The Blue Devils moved into a tie with Oswego for third place in the division. Both teams trail Brockport (4-0 SUNYAC) and Geneseo (3-1 SUNYAC) in the standings. Down by as many as six points in the first half, the Blue Devils made three three-pointers -- one each by Kevin Saunders (Batavia), Cooper, and Wayne Davis (Binghamton) -- to forge a 30-24 lead at halftime. They never trailed thereafter and opened up leads as large as 12 points early in the second half. The Hawks (5-7, 1-4 SUNYAC) pulled within three points, 44-41, with 9:58 remaining, only to have the Blue Devils answer with an 8-0 run on baskets by Cooper, Kyle Gordon (Canandaigua), Adam Smith (Fredonia), and Rich Buckmon (Syracuse/Heninger) over the next four minutes. Gordon finished with 15 points and grabbed six rebounds while Buckmon had a team-high seven rebounds and Saunders dished out four assists. -------
