The Blue Devils (3-12, 1-7 SUNYAC) led at halftime 23-19, fell behind briefly early in the second half, then took the lead for good, 28-27, on a layup by freshman James Kane (West Seneca/Bishop Timon). Kane then made a free throw to complete a three-point play with 14:27 remaining. Senior guard Taha Alassari (Brooklyn/Sweet Home) had 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds, while Kane added 14 points, and senior forward Kevin Reichlmayr (Rochester/Aquinas Institute) had 10 points and nine rebounds. It was the 14th straight game Reichlmayr has scored in double figures. Scott Mitchell (Brushton) had 15 points and Jehrod Hall (Syracuse) added 12 for the Bears (7-9, 4-3 SUNYAC).
