New Paltz downs Devils

OSWEGO, N.Y. -- John Hauser had 26 points to lead the New Paltz Hawks to a 69-64 SUNYAC victory over the Fredonia State Blue Devils.

Taha Alassari (Brooklyn/Sweet Home) had 17 points to lead Fredonia State. Tim Anderson (Jamestown/Jamestown) and Devin Watkins (Franklinville/Franklinville) added 13 points each. Anderson also grabbed 12 rebounds.

After shooting 56 percent in the first half (14 of 25), the Blue Devils cooled considerably in the second half (9 of 26, 34.6 percent).

The loss dropped Fredonia State to 8-10 overall, 3-7 in the SUNYAC.

The Blue Devils return to action Tuesday night at Geneseo.
