Cold shooting does in Devils
ERIE, Pa. -- A 12-minute span without a field goal proved Fredonia State's undoing Saturday in a 38-31 non-conference road loss at Penn State Behrend.
Leading 27-12 with 14-16 left in the second half, the Blue Devils (3-5) managed four points the rest the the way -- two free throws and one basket. The loss ended a three-game winning streak.
Behrend's Adam Kaiser was the lone player to score in double figures with 11 points. For Fredonia State, Scott Valenta (Binghamton) came off the bench for team-high seven points.
The Blue Devils are back in action 3 p.m. Sunday at Hilbert College.
