Adams Tip-Off Classic in The Golden Dome. In the consolation game, Centenary (1-1) rallied for an 80-77 win over Emerson (0-2). Senior guard Tim Anderson (Jamestown, NY/Jamestown) paced the Blue Devils (1-1) with 16 points, hitting five of seven from the floor including three of five from 3-point range. Senior guard Chris Donahue (Olean, NY/Olean) chipped in eight points while All-Classic selection Kyle Gordon (Canandaigua, NY/Canandaigua) hauled down a game-high seven rebounds. Horton, the Classic MVP, knocked down seven of nine shots, including four of six from beyond the arc, as the Scarlet Raiders (2-0) ran away from the start for the second time in as many nights. He capped a 9-0 starting run with a pair of free throws followed by a long 3-point jumper at 15:09. Senior guard Justin Carter, who joined Horton on the All-Classic Team, finished with 10 points, five rebounds and a team-high five assists in only 23 minutes. Senior center Chinedu Ibeh and freshman guard Chadd Barnes netted 11 points apiece and freshman forward David Cherry came off the bench for 10 as Rutgers-Newark put five men in double figures.
