New Paltz held a 29-28 halftime advantage and were up by as many as 12 in the second half with 16:04 left. Fredonia State crawled back to within two at 58-56 with 2:35 left on a three-pointer by Taha Alassari (Brooklyn/Sweet Home), but that's as close as the Devils would come. Alassari led the Devils with 16 points, including four long-range buckets. Adam Smith ( Fredonia/Fredonia) netted twelve points, including a trio of treys, and grabbed a team-high nine rebounds. Kevin Reichlmayr (Rochester/Aquinas Institute) scored 10 points and Kyle Gordon (Canandaigua/Canandaigua) scored nine while collecting eight rebounds. New Paltz (3-1, 1-0 SUNYAC) was led by Amseshem Foluke-Henderson with 13 points, 13 boards and four steals. Tony Cannon added 16 points and hauled down five rebounds. John Hauser and Matt Irwin chipped in with nine points each. The Devils (1-3, 0-2 SUNYAC) travel to Oneonta for a 4 p.m. contest Saturday.
