Cortland cruises over Blue Devils

CORTLAND, N.Y. -- Fredonia State fell to 2-3 overall, 0-2 in the SUNYAC, with a 65-48 loss Friday to the Cortland Red Dragons.

The Red Dragons (4-1, 2-0) trailed only briefly at the start of the game. Their final margin of 17 points equaled their largest lead of the game.

Junior guard Taha Alassari (Brooklyn/Sweet Home) led the Blue Devils with 20 points, eight rebounds, and four assists.

The Red Dragons had three players in double figures.

Fredonia State is back in action Saturday afternoon at Oneonta.
