ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- A late second half run carried Hobart to a 58-54 victory over Fredonia State in the consolation game of the 21st Harold J. Brodie Tournament at Rochester Institute of Technology.

The Statesmen (2-5) took command with an 11-2 run which began with the Blue Devils in the lead, 38-35. When Hobart's John Grazioli connected for a trey with 1:20 left, the Statesmen had pushed out to a 53-45 advantage.

Adam Smith (Fredonia/Fredonia) led Fredonia State with 14 points, including four treys. One of those treys, with 10:59 in the second half, gave the Blue Devils their first lead, 27-26, after trailing by as many as 10 points in the first half.

Kevin Reichlmayr (Rochester/Aquinas Institute) added 13 points and seven rebounds, while Kyle Gorden (Canandaigua/Canandaigua) chipped in with 10 points off the bench.

Grazioli led the Statesmen with 15 points, Mike Manning added 13, and Kevin Riley added 11.

The Blue Devils were outscored 20-6 from the foul line and 39-9 in the two Brodie Tournament games. They lost Friday to Houghton, 70-63.
