Golden Eagles take flight in second half

BROCKPORT, N.Y. -- A slow start to open the second half was Fredonia State's undoing Saturday during a 86-69 SUNYAC road loss at Brockport.

The Blue Devils (6-16, 3-10 SUNYAC) trailed 43-38 at halftime but were unable to mound a second-half rally against the Western Division-leading Golden Eagles (18-6, 14-1 SUNYAC). Four players scored in double figures for Brockport while Brad Cooper had 12 and Julius Bryant added 10 for the Blue Devils.

Fredonia State plays its final road game of the regular season Tuesday at Buffalo State.
