Cortland sends Devils to season-ending loss

FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The curtain fell on the 2005-06 Fredonia State men's basketball season with a 73-53 loss to Cortland.

Junior guard Dave Jutton (Red Hook/Red Hook) connected on 6 of 7 three-pointers and finished with a game-high 20 points to lead the Red Dragons (22-3, 14-2 SUNYAC).

Senior guard Tim Anderson (Jamesteown/Jamestown), one of five Fredonia State seniors playing their final game, led his team in scoring with 15 points.

Anderson completed for seasons with 932 points, 13th most in school history. He also moved into 16th spot all-time with 451 rebounds.

Another senior, guard Chris Donahue (Olean/Olean), added 11 points Saturday.

Also playing their final game for the Blue Devils were guards Mike Kelly (Corning/Corning East) and Chris Kensy (Cheektowaga/Maryvale), and forward Devin Watkins (Franklinville/Franklinville).
