Geneseo claims road win over Devils

FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Geneseo downed Fredonia State 64-53 Saturday evening in Steele Hall.

Scott Morton had 17 points and Jeff Howe added 16 for the Blue Knights (13-6, 6-4 SUNYAC).

Brad Cooper (Monticello) had 22 points and James Kane (West Seneca/Bishop Timon) added 12 points and grabbed a team-high nine rebounds for the Blue Devils (6-13, 3-7 SUNYAC).

Geneseo held a one-point lead, 31-30 at halftime and led throughout the second half.

Fredonia State returns at action 8 p.m. next Saturday vs. Buffalo State at the Steele Hall Fieldhouse.
