Double-digit scorers pace Devils

FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Fredonia State used steady, balanced scoring to down Oneonta, 79-69, and end a three-game losing streak.

The Blue Devils (9-11, 4-8 SUNYAC) broke out on top, led 32-21 at halftime, and maintained a double-digit lead throughout the second half before a Steele Hall crowd estimated at 550.

Tim Anderson (Jamestown/Jamestown) was one of five players in double figures. He had 13 points, 10 in the first half.

Chris Donahue (Olean/Olean) and Devin Watkins (Franklinville/Franklinville) chipped in with 11 points each. Taha Alassari (Brooklyn/Sweet Home) and Kyle Gordon (Canandaigua/Canandaigua) each had 10 points.

Oneonta's Sean Coffey (New Paltz/New Paltz) led all scorers with 18 points. Jaysen Murphy (East Elmhurst/Robert Wagner) added 13 for the Red Dragons (7-13, 2-9 SUNYAC).

Fredonia State will look to make it two straight wins with it travels Monday to face Thiel College at Greenville, Pa.
