Devils drop season finale

FREDONIA N.Y. – Fredonia State lost it final game of the season Saturday, 68-57, to Cortland at Steele Hall.

The loss denied the Blue Devils (8-16, 4-12) a chance to qualify for the SUNYAC Tournament as the No. 8 seed. A win would have tied them with Buffalo State and set into motion of tiebreakers.

Junior Chris Donahue (Olean/Olean) led Fredonia State with 18 points while junior Devin Watkins (Franklinville/Franklinville) added 15.

Cortland (17-8, 12-4) had five players in double figures, led by Brian Kirchhoff with 18.
