Zera surpassed 1,000 career points on 12 of 21 shooting from the field, and 10 of 11 from the line, for Geneseo (3-9, 1-3). Junior Tim Anderson (Jamestown/Jamestown) led Fredonia State (6-8, 2-3) with 19 points. Sophomore Taha Alassari (Amherst/Sweet Home) added 16 points and had team highs in rebounds (6) and assists (6). The Blue Devils started quickly and twice held leads of 13 points during the first half. Geneseo rallied in time to grab a 39-35 lead at halftime, then pushed its lead into double digits early in the second half. Steve McDonnell (Fairport/Fairport) added 13 points for Geneseo, while senior Chris Donahue (Olean/Olean) chipped in with nine points for the Blue Devils, who travel to Plattsburgh for a SUNYAC game Friday.
