Men's Basketball

Slow start plagues Devils

GENESEO N.Y. – Fredonia State fell behind 11-0 at the start Friday and could not recover in a 78-67 loss to Geneseo.

Sophomore Taha Alassari (Amherst/Sweet Home) had 16 points for Blue Devils (8-15, 4-11).

Sophomore Kevin Reichlmayr (Rochester/Aquinas Institute) added 13 points and had a team-high 12 rebounds. Junior Mike Kelly (Corning/Corning East) had 10 points.

Joe Zera (Buffalo/Canisius) led Geneseo (11-13, 8-7) with 27 points and Steve McDonnell (Fairport/Fairport) had 20.

The Blue Devils close out the regular season Saturday at home against Cortland. Game time is 6 p.m.
