Donahue hot, yet Devils fall

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – Fredonia State lost a SUNYAC road game at Plattsburgh, 81-62, despite the outside shooting of Chris Donahue (Olean/Olean).

Donahue led the Blue Devils (6-9, 2-5) with 22 points, including 15 from beyond the arc on 5 of 9 three-pointers.

Kyle Gordon (Canandaigua/Canandaigua) added 14 points and a team-high seven rebounds. Taha Alassari (Amherst/Sweet Home) chipped in with 13 points.

Plattsburgh had five players score in double figures.

The Blue Devils are back in action 4 p.m. Saturday at Potsdam.
