The Blue Devils (3-3, 2-1) had 13 players in the scoring column, led by junior Randall Thomas (Bronx/Ryan Academy, Va.) with 16 points. He also grabbed seven rebounds. Other Blue Devils in double figures were junior Chris Donahue (Olean/Olean) and junior Devin Watkins (Franklinville/Franklinville) with 13 points each, and junior Nate Sanzo (Westfield/Westfield) with 10. Oneonta's William Heslin (Schaghticoke) lead all players with 18 points. Anthony Negreanu (Woodside) added 11. After scoring 36 points the previous night vs. New Paltz, Fredonia State sophomore guard Taha Alassari (Amherst/Sweet Home) was limited to six points. Yet it was his floor play during a decisive second-half run which carried the Blue Devils to their largest lead of the night (16 points). Alassari was credited seven assists and four steals in the game. For the second straight game, the Blue Devils shot well from the field. They were 28 of 51 (54.9 percent), including 6 of 13 from beyond the three-point arc. Donahue and Watkins were each 3 of 6 from trey land. With the pre-holiday break of the SUNYAC schedule complete, the Blue Devils close out the first semester with three non-conference games in the next seven days. The slate begins Dec. 7 at St. John Fisher. Athletics Home | Fredonia Home
