Men fifth in regional rankings

FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Fredonia State is ranked No. 5 in the latest NCAA Division III Northeast poll (to be released Oct. 18).

The Blue Devils (11-3-2) moved up one spot on the strength of their 2-0 victory over Brockport and a 0-0 tie with Geneseo.

Brockport is No. 2 in the latest poll, and was No. 11 in last week's NCAA Division III national rankings.

Geneseo, ranked No. 6 this week, is the defending SUNYAC champ.

Two other SUNYAC teams, Plattsburgh (No. 3) and Cortland (No. 8), are also ranked in the Northeast poll.
