Freshman Peter Dagel (Rochester/Gates Chili) scored the game's first goal in the 24th minute on an assist from Trevor Ianni (Rochester/Gates Chili). It was Dagel's third goal of the season. Sam Stewart (Jamestown/Jamestown) then scored two unanswered goals. He scored in the 33rd minute on a pass from Ryan O'Donnell (Orchard Park/Orchard Park). Stewart would find the net again four minutes later, as Andrew Sharman (Kenmore/St. Joseph's) assisted, giving the Devils a 3-0 lead. Stephen Ahern (Nottingham, U.K./Billborough) accounted for the Devil's fourth goal, an unassisted score off a rebound. It was his third goal of the season and put the Devils up 4-0. Oswego scored late in the game on a Mark Pereira goal, as Ryan Aman assisted. The Lakers drop to 6-6-1 on the season and 3-3-0 in the SUNYAC. Scott Bergen (Schenectady/Mohonasen) manned the Blue Devil net for the first 79:00, getting nine saves. Tom Cavanaugh (Slingerlands/Voorheesville) played the game's final 11:00, allowing one goal against no saves. The Blue Devils (7-5-0, 5-1-0 SUNYAC) face Cortland on Saturday at 7 p.m. at University Stadium.
