O'Donnell took a crossing pass from junior midfielder Rob Esposito (Dover Plains/Dover), settled the ball, and beat Oswego State junuior goalkeeper Shaun Sessa (Ronkonkoma) at 29:36. Fredonia State junior goalkeeper Scott Bergen (Schenectady/Mohonasen) was required to make just two saves to post his fifth shutout of the season. In the process, he lowered his goals-against average to 1.01. Sessa made 10 saves for Oswego. The Blue Devils, who have yet to allow a goal in five SUNYAC games, improved to 5-0-0 in the conference and 8-4-1 overall. The loss dropped the Lakers to 2-2-1 in SUNYAC, 6-5-1 overall. Fredonia State returns to SUNYAC action vs. Cortland at 1 p.m. Saturday on Brigham Road Field.
