Devils play Alfred to 2-2 tie

ALFRED, N.Y. -- Junior forward Trevor Ianni (Rochester/Gates Chili) scored both goals as Fredonia State tied Alfred, 2-2, after two overtimes of a non-conference night game.

Ianni tallied for the third time this season in the eighth minute to stake the Blue Devils (4-3-1) to a 1-0 lead.

His second goal of the game, and the fourth of the season, came in the 59th minute. It forged a 2-2 tie after Alfred took a 2-1 lead on a pair of goals by Zach Hunkele.

Sophomore midfielder Scott Chimileski (Horseheads/Horseheads) earned the only assist of the game by either team with a set-up on Ianni's first goal.

Fredonia State junior Scott Bergen (Schnectady/Mohonasen) made three saves while logging 110 minutes in goal.

The Blue Devils' second of five straight road games is Friday at Penn State Behrend.
