Blue Devil comeback leads to win

UTICA, N.Y. -- Freshman Peter Dagel (Rochester/Gates Chili) scored with a little over 11 minutes left in the game to break a 1-1 tie vs. SUNYIT and give the Blue Devils a 2-1 road win, their second victory in as many days.

The Blue Devils (6-5-0, 4-1-0 SUNYAC) led in shots on goal in the first half 2-1, but the Wildcats managed to capitalize on their lone shot with 8:14 left in the first frame to take a 1-0 lead.

Fredonia State tied the game at the 58:16 mark when Ryan O'Donnell (Orchard Park/Orchard Park) scored for his fourth goal of the season. Senior Andy Sharman (Kenmore/St. Joseph's) assisted, setting the stage for Dagel's game-winner.

The Blue Devils return home to face the Oswego State Lakers on Friday October fifth at 4 p.m. at University Stadium.
