Borchard, Parker playing for Pumas

PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Fredonia State senior goaltender Matt Borchard (Williamsville/Williamsville South) and Blue Devil assitant coach Adam Parker (Rochester/Pittsford-Mendon), a 2001 graduate, are spending their summers playing for the Palm Beach Pumas of the United Soccer Leagues in the Premier Developmental League (PDL) division, the highest amatuer division.

Borchard has started three of the team's first five games in goal. He has a 1.66 goals against average and has registered 22 saves thus far. He also has a shutout to his credit.

Parker is the only Puma to see action in all five games this season and leads the team in minutes played (416). He also serves as a team captain.

The PDL provides top US and Canadian players under 23 years of age with the opportunity to perform in a professionalized setting during the summer months while maintaining their collegiate eligibility. Their website is found at www.uslsoccer.com
