Three solos, one relay win at RIT

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Fredonia State had three individual winners during a dual meet Saturday at Rochester Institute of Technology.

RIT won the meet, 146-73.

Chris Oaks (Macedon/Palmyra-Macedon), a senior, was victorious in the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:02.39). Freshman Jason Carr (Hamburg/Frontier) scored a win in the 200-yard breaststoke (2:33.03) in his first official collegiate meet. Also, junior Nathan Peterson (Frewsburg/Frewsburg) won the 500-yard freestyle (5:09.75).

The Blue Devils also posted a win in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:36.67). The swimmers were senior Kengo Yamada (Ashikaga, Japan), Oaks, Peterson, and freshman Matt Callegari (Orchard Park/Orchard Park).
