Freshman Matt Callegari (Orchard Park/Orchard Park) won the 50-yard freestyle (22.84) and 100-yard freestyle (50.65). Junior Nate Peterson (Frewsburg/Frewsburg) took the 1000- and 500-yard frestyles in times of 10:42.94 and 5:07.50, respectively. Junior Brian Ruffles' (Angola/Lake Shore) wins came in the one meter diving (117.40) and 200 breast stroke (2:29.09). Freshman Robert Rumsey (Grand Island/Grand Island) took the 200 IM in a time of 2:09.34. Senior Chris Oaks' (Macedon/Palmyra-Macedon) 200 time of 1:57.20 was tops for the 200 freestyle. The Blue Devils (2-3) also won the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:35.54. The Fredonia State women lost to Nazareth, 128-115. Head coach Arthur Wang was pleased with the performances of both his teams. "Overall, I can't be dissappointed by the effort the women's and men's teams have put together... this meet and every meet we've had this semester," said Wang. "We've avenged some losses from last year, and it only seems to be getting better." Both Blue Devil teams are back in the Steele Hall Natatorium water for the Blue Devil Invitational on Dec. 2 through Dec. 4.
