FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Fredonia State had three individual winners Saturday in their home dual meet with Edinboro University, an NCAA Division II team.

Junior Brian Ruffles (Angola/Lake Shore) won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:05.21), junior Nate Peterson (Frewsburg/Frewsburg) the 200-yard freestyle (1:54.53), and freshman Rob Rumsey (Grand Island/Grand Island) the 200-yard individual medley (2:10.14).

In addition, Fredonia State's 200-yard medley relay quartet had their best time this season (1:44.14). The swimmers were Rumsey, Ruffles, senior Kengo Yamada (Ashikaga, Japan), and freshman Matt Callegari (Orchard Park/Orchard Park).

Edinboro won the meet, 146-113, which was billed as the Alumni meet. Approximately 35 former Blue Devil swimmers and divers attended the meet and a dinner held Saturday night.

The Blue Devils return to action with a home meet Wednesday, Nov. 9, vs. Penn State Behrend.
