Lord qualifies for two meets with one throw

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Fredonia State senior Nick Lork (Skaneateles/Skaneateles) qualfied for the ECAC and New York State Collegiate Track Conference meets with his second-place 35-pound weight throw Saturday.

Lord's throw was measured at 15.37 meters during the Spartan Relays at Case Western Reserve University.

Sophomore Drew Waldron (Freedom/Pioneer) placed in three events. He was third in the high jump (1.72 meters), fourth in the triple jump (12.70 meters), and eighth in the long jump (5.82 meters).

Sophomore Adam Frisbee (Cossayuna/Greenwich) was seventh in the high jump (1.72) and eighth in the triple jump (11.55).

Also, sophomore Brett Csont (Dunkirk/Dunkirk) was fifth in the 55 meters (6.78 seconds).

Freshman Andrew Power (Victor/Victor) had a personal-best in the 55-meter high hurdles (8.20 seconds), which was also a New York State Collegiate Track Conference qualifier.

Junior Andy Forma (Elma/St. Francis) was fourth in the mile run (4:31.02).

The Blue Devils were seventh in team scoring.
