Forma's time of 8:49.46 was good for third place. That was just over two seconds back of the 10th best time in the history of the program. Fellow distance runner Mike Pond (Somers/Somers), a sophomore, finished seventh in the 5,000 meters in a personal-best time of 15:37. He was also fourth in the mile run (4:27.36). Sophomore Drew Waldron (Freedom/Pioneer) was the Blue Devils' top scorer among field athletes. He was third in the high jump (1.93 meters) and fourth in the triple jump (14.30 meters). Three Blue Devils recorded fifth-place finishes: senior thrower Nick Lord (Skaneateles/Skaneateles) in the 35-pound weight throw (15.03 meters), freshman A.J. Power (Victor/Victor) in the 55-meter hurdles (personal-best :08.15), and sophomore Brett Csont (Dunkirk/Dunkirk) in the 55-meter dash (personal-best :06.70). The Blue Devils also had season-best runs by the 4-by-800 relay team of junior Joe Vella (Hamburg/Hamburg), freshman Matt Wysocki (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa), senior Justin Carr (Malone/Franklin), and senior Anthony Caputa (Buffalo/Kenmore East) of 8:20.83. They finished fifth. Likewise, the 4-by-400 relay of junior Brent Rose (Kenoza Lake/Sullivan West), sophomore Alex Astone (Long Beach/Long Beach), Carr, and freshman Matt Callegari (Orchard Park/Orchard Park) turned in a season-best time of 3:36.94. The distance medley relay team of Wysocki, Carr, Vella, and junior Jason Smith (Queensbury/Queensbury) finished fifth in their event. The Blue Devils were sixth in the team point standings.
