Evans, Frisbee have qualifying performances

BEREA, Ohio – Junior Jerome Evans (Rochester/Greece-Olympia) became a SUNYAC and state qualifier Friday in the 500 meters.

Evans finished second in the event with a time of 1:08.39 at the Baldwin-Wallace Mid-February Meet. It's the fourth-fastest time this season by a runner at a New York State Collegiate Track Conference participating school.

Also, freshman Adam Frisbee (Cossayuna/Greenwich) became a SUNYAC qualifier in the 55-meter high hurdles with a time of 8.69 seconds.

Other meet highlights:

Freshman Drew Waldron (Freedom/Pioneer) finished second in the triple jump (42' 7.5") and third in the high jump (6' 0").

Junior Nick Lord (Skaneateles/Skaneateles) had a personal-best weight throw of 38' 4.5".

Senior Aaron Johnson (Brockport/Brockport) was clocked in :52.95 seconds for the 400 meters, while freshman Brett Csont (Dunkirk/Dunkirk) dashed 200 meters in :24.02 seconds.
