Lord places in four events at U.B meet

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Nick Lord (Skaneateles/Shaneateles) was third in two events and fourth in another Saturday at the U.B. Championships.

Lord was third in the hammerthrow (38.89 meters) and the javelin throw (39.27 meters). Both marks were personal-bests. He was also fourth in the discus throw (32.48 meters) and sixth in the shot put (10.60 meters).

Other top performances by Blue Devils competing at University at Buffalo:

Justin Carr (Malone/Franklin Academy), third in the 400-meter hurdles (1:02.00);

David Manzano (Syracuse/Onondaga), second in the 100-meter dash (:12.60);

Jerome Evans (Rochester/Greece Olympia), sixth in the 400-meter dash (:52.89);

Mike Pond (Somers/Somers), seventh in the 5,000-meter run (16:14.11).
