Second, two thirds at Slippery Rock

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Charles Infurna (Rochester/Webster) had a second-place finish and two teammates finished third in their events Saturday at the Slippery Rock Invitational.

Infurna finished second in the men's hammer throw for the second week in a row. His best throw Saturday was measured at 43.69 meters.

Third-place finishes were turned in by Jim Sweeney (Albany/Guilderland) and Greg Kauffman (Rochester/Hilton) . Sweeney was third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a time of 10:03.31. Kauffman was third in the 5,000 meters in 16:47.75.

The Blue Devils will compete in the SUNYAC Outdoor Championship Meet Friday and Saturday.
