Buzzelli wins steeplechase

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- Kevin Buzzelli (Grand Island/Grand Island) finished first in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Slippery Rock Invitational.

Buzzelli was timed in 10:13.07. It was his first collegiate win in the event.

Other highlights for the Blue Devils included a SUNYAC qualifying performance by Adam Frisbee (Cossayuna/Greenwich) in the high jump. He cleared 6' 0".

Also, Justin Carr (Malone/Franklin) recorded a personal-best 1:00.75 in the 400-meter intermediate hurdles, while Nick Lord (Skaneateles/Skaneateles) PR'd in the hammerthrow with a toss of 122'.

In addition, the 4-by-100 relay team of Carr, Aaron Johnson (Brockport/Brockport), Scott Hoornbeck (Ithaca/Ithaca), and Jerome Evans (Rochester/Greece Olympia) were clocked in 44.87 seconds, their fastest time this season by 1.5 seconds.
