The Blue Devils, 19th overall of 34 teams, were led by freshman Tom Williams (Queensbury/Qhueensbury), who was 74th overall in 27:35.5 for 8,000 meters. Finishing right behind Williams, in 75th, was senior Kevin Buzzelli (Grand Island/Grand Island), in 27:37.4, while freshman Jared Newell (Queensbury/Queensbury) was 85th in 27:48.5. Senior Jason Smith (Queensbury/Queensbury) and sophomore Matthew Wysocki (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa) were 118th and 152nd, respectively, to round out Fredonia State's scoring . Smith was timed in 28:31.8, while Wysocki crossed the line in 29:33.3. Also competing for the Blue Devils were sophomore Ben Battin (Marietta, Ga./St. Francis) and sophomore Joe Vella (Hamburg/Hamburg). New York University won the team championship. The race was held at Letchworth State Park.
