Freshman forward Lauren Heilweil (Binghamton/Chenango Forks) and junior defender Danielle Bleecker (Pittsford/Pittsford Mendon) were chosen First Team among the women. Second Team choices were junior midfielder Linsay Kulas (Rochester/Aquinas Institute) and senior defender Jess Poliseno (Lakeview/Frontier), while sophomore defender Jacki Borcyk (Rochester/Greece Odyssey) and sophomore goalkeeper Becky Scroger (Spencerport/Spencerport) were named to the Third Team. Bleecker is being honored for the third time (she was First Team in 2005, and honorable mention in 2004), while Kulas and Scroger were Second Team choices last season. On the men's side, senior forward Matt Mahaffey (Lakeview/Frontier) and junior midfielder Rob Esposito (Dover Plains/Dover) were selected to the First Team. The Second Team included freshman forward Ryan O'Donnell (Orchard Park/Orchard Park) and junior defender Lee Wilson (Fairport/Fairport). Junior midfielder Trevor Ianni (Rochester/Gates-Chili) was a Third Team choice. Mahaffey is a repeat First Team honoree, while Ianni is being honored for the second straight year. The dinner was held in conjuction with the SUNYAC Soccer Championships at Hall of Fame Fields. The Blue Devil men, seeded No. 2, will meet No. 3 Plattsburgh at 11 a.m. Friday in one men's semifinal, with No. 1 Geneseo vs. No. 5 Oswego in the other game. The winners will meet for the title at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Blue Devil women were eliminated with a 2-1 loss Tuesday at Geneseo.
