The games were played at Utica College. The Blue Devils won the first game, 13-0, as Meghan Sullivan had a homer and two doubles, Samantha Voncina a double and two singles, and Andrea DeVon a homer and a single. Winning pitcher Casey Mazurek added three hits with a double. The Dunkirk High product struck out 11, walked two and gave up two hits. Sullivan struck out the side in the final inning. SUNYIT won Game 2, 6-5, after rallying from a 5-1 deficit in the sixth inning. "We made a couple mental mistakes and they capitalized on them," Fredonia State coach Lorrie Corsi said. Christine Tedeczko's two-run single proved to be the winning hit for SUNYIT. For the Blue Devils (7-5, 1-1), Lisa Curtis had three hits while Mazurek, DeVon (double) and Bree Crossett (double) chipped in with two hits apiece. Crossett also had three RBI
