FREDONIA, N.Y. Casey Mazurek (Dunkirk/Dunkirk) tossed a four-hit shutout in a 1-0 victory over Brockport in the first game of a doubleheader with Brockport.

Brockport bounced back to win the nightcap, 5-3.

Mazurek struck out seven and walked one to even her record to 5-5 this season in the first game.

The Blue Devils (8-11) scored their only run in the first inning. Amanda Waite (Dunkirk/Dunkirk) had a lead-off double, went to third on an infield out, and scored on a grounder to first by Jen Grabowski (West Seneca/Weste Seneca West).

Brockport's Heather Groves (South Dayton/Pine Valley) pitched five scoreless innings of relief in the first game, then pitched a complete game for the win in the second game.

Grabowski was 3 for 3, including a 2-run homer, to lead the Blue Devil attack. Ashley Livermore (Randolph/Randolph) also had an RBI hit.
