Geneseo won the opener, 4-3. Ashley Livermore (Randolph/Randolph) homered to start the rally. Lindsey Drum (Wayland/Wayland-Cohochton), Stacie Weidert (Hilton/Hilton), Amanda Waite (Dunkirk/Dunkirk), and Andrea Carlson (Forestville/Pine Valley) had RBI later in the inning. The Blue Devils (7-10, 2-4) tacked on two more runs in the fifth inning and one in the sixth. Drum, Weidert, and Livermore all had RBI doubles to deliver the insurance runs. Ashley Sullivan (Angola/Lake Shore) was the winning pitcher and Casey Mazurek (Dunkirk/Dunkirk) earned the save with two innings of relief work. Amanda Johanning was the losing pitcher. In the first game of the twinbill, Geneseo's Audrey Kuhn pitched out of numerous jams as the Blue Knights prevailed, 4-3. Fredonia State had the tying run on base in the last of the seventh before Kuhn induced the final out. Livermore tripled and singled, and Waite doubled and singled for the Blue Devils, who left nine runners on base. A two-run double by Lauren Zefting and a solo homer by Jodi Guilboard were the big hits for Geneseo off Mazurek, who pitched a complete game.
