SUNYAC

Fredonia State represented on three all-SUNYAC teams

FREDONIA, N.Y. – Ten Fredonia State athletes were chosen in their respective sports to the all-SUNYAC teams released Friday.

Men's soccer player Mitch Irish (Cary, N.C./Fairport) was a repeat First Team selection. A senior defender, Irish was also a First Team pick as a junior and a Third Team pick as a freshman.

Senior midfielder Tim Cupello (Rochester/Aquinas) and sophomore defender Brian Annechino (Rochester/Penfield) were men's soccer honorable mentions.

In women's soccer, four Blue Devils received honorable mention: junior forward Jessica Weiser (Rochester/Greece Athena), junior midfielder Anita Salinas (Rochester/Greece Athena), senior midfielder Katie Remus (Grand Island/Grand Island), and freshman defender Danielle Bleecker (Pittsford/Pittsford Mendon).

Senior middle hitter Heather Martin (Allegany/Allegany-Limestone) was a repeat First Team choice in women's volleyball. The Western Division Player of the Year in 2003, Martin was joined on the First Team by junior setter Traci Pieczynski (Lancaster/St. Mary's).

The lone Second Team choice was freshman outside hitter JaHanna Dixon (Hamburg/Frontier).
