FREDONIA, N.Y. -- A triple-winner led the Fredonia State men to a 134-87 victory Wednesday over Brockport at the Steele Hall Natatorium.

On the women's side, a school record by freshman Taylor Kelly (Wading River/Shoreham-Wading River) was part of a 180-149 Blue Devil win.

Kelly broke her own mark in the 100-yard breast stroke with a winning time of 1:11.81. It was one of seven event wins by Fredonia State women. Her previous mark was 1:13.34.

The Fredonia State men also had seven event wins, led by three-time winner freshman Mike Seay (Grand Island/Grand Island). He was first in the 100-yard butterfly, the 100-yard breast stroke, and was part of the winning 400-yard freestyle relay.

Double winners for the men were senior Chris Oaks (Macedon/Palmyra-Macedon), in the 200-yard individual medley and the 500-yard freestyle, and senior diver Scott Horsington (Rochester/Churchville-Chili), off both 1-meter and 3-meter boards.

Sophomore diver Kelly Sponholz (Alden/Alden) also doubled on the two boards, with 241.40 points in the 1-meter event, and 257.35 points in the 3-meter, to remain unbeaten in all events this season.

Also doubling for the Blue Devil women were freshman Monica Dunlevy (Batavia/Batavia), in the 500-yard freestyle and the 1,000-yard freestyle. Single-event winners were freshman Lindsay Aromola (Hamburg/Frontier), in the 100-yard butterfly; senior Cassie Austin (Cuba/Cuba-Rushford), the 200-yard individual medley; and sophomore Emily Dizer (Tonawanda/Sweet Home), the 100-yard backstroke.

The Blue Devil women improved to 6-3 this season, while the men are 4-5. Their next meet is Saturday at home vs. Nazareth and Ithaca colleges, starting at 1 p.m.
