The Blue Devils were defeated by Ithaca, 183-117, while the Fredonia State women lost each of the double-duals, 173-126 to Ithaca and 184-115 to Nazareth. Ithaca defeated Nazareth in both portions of the meet, 159-134 on the women's side and 241-54 on the men's side. Top individuals for the Fredonia State women were Emily Dizer (Tonawanda/Sweet Home) with a school-record time -- breaking her own mark -- in the 200-yard backstroke with 2:15.09. Nazareth's Emily Lesher won the event and broke her own pool record in 2:10.78. Dizer also won the 100-yard backstroke, Mandy Nelson (Frewsburg) finished with a lifetime-best of 11:16.31 in the 1,000-yard freestyle and had a season-best 5:30.57 in the 500 free, while Kelly Sponholz (Alden) and Teresa MacInnes (Tonawanda/Kenmore East) finished one-two in both diving events. Sponholz's winning scores again surpassed the NCAA qualifying standards. For the Fredonia State men, Al Palmquist (Olean) won the 100-yard and 200-yard backstroke races while teaming with Brian Ruffles (Angola/Lake Shore), Evan Prewitt (Rochester/Rush-Henrietta), and Tazio Dragani (Restof/York) to win the 200-yard medley relay. Also, Mike Seay (Grand Island) was second in both the 50-yard and 100-yard freestyle races and was first in the 100-yard butterfly, all in season-best times. In diving, Scott Horsington (Churchville/Churchville-Chili) and Christian Torres (Dunkirk) finished first and second, respectively, off both boards. The Blue Devils' final home meet of the season is next Saturday at 1 p.m. against teams from Hartwick and Oneonta. -------
