Kelly Sponholz (Alden/Alden) remained unbeaten this season in all diving competition with victories off the 1-meter and 3-meter boards. She is 18-0 with one meet left before the SUNYAC Championships. The Blue Devil women fell to Case Western Reserve, 137-101; to Ithaca College, 164-78; and to the University of Rochester, 170-73. Among the men, Robert Rumsey (Grand Island/Grand Island) posted a 100-yard backstroke time of :55.88, the second fastest time in the conference this season. Case Western defeated the Fredonia State men, 177-44. In addition, Ithaca (155-49) and Rochester (177-54) defeated Fredonia State. The Blue Devils close out the home portion of their season next Saturday. Jan. 28, vs. Oneonta and Hartwick.
