Four victories in Devils' road loss

ERIE, Pa. – Fredonia State won three individual events and one relay Wednesday in its 113-69 loss at Penn State Behrend.

Freshman Eric Wilson (Syracuse/Manlius Pebble Hill) and junior Kengo Yamata (Ashikaga, Japan/Tochigi) were participants in two of the wins.

Individually, Wilson qualified for the SUNYAC meet with a 2:16.19 victory in the 200-yard backstroke, while Yamata broke through with a 2:29.37 win in the 200-yard butterfly.

Collectively, Wilson and Yamata combined with freshman Andrew Wilmore (Derby/Lake Shore) and freshman Cyrus Salehi (Fairport/Fairport) to win the 400-yard medley relay in 4:02.14.

Junior Chris Oaks (Macedon/Palmyra-Macedon) recorded the fourth win for the Blue Devils (0-3), a 4:56.61 clocking in the 400-yard individual medley.

The Blue Devils are back in action Nov. 17 at Alfred University.
