Salehi takes part in three event wins

FREDONIA, N.Y. – Freshman Cyrus Salehi (Fairport/Fairport) won two individual events and was part of a winning relay Tuesday in the Blue Devils' 117-79 home loss to Buffalo State.

Salehi was the first swimmer to touch in the 50-yard freestyle (:23.24) and the 100-yard freestyle (:51.31).

In addition, Salehi was part of the winning 200-yard medley relay. The other swimmers in the quartet were freshman Eric Wilson (Syracuse/Manlius Pebble Hill), freshman Andrew Wilmore (Derby/Lake Shore), and junior Chris Oaks (Macedon/Palmyra-Macedon). Their winning time was 1:47.77.

Wilmore also won the 100-yard breast stroke with a lifetime-best time of 1:03.91.

The Blue Devils, just back from a training trip to Hawaii, continue their busy week when they travel Friday to Cleveland to compete against Case Western Reserve and Ohio Wesleyan. That is followed by a trip Saturday to Geneseo.
