Wilmore breaks through vs. RIT

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Freshman Andrew Wilmore (Derby/Lake Shore) was Fredonia State's lone indivdual winner Saturday in a 140-59 home loss to Rochester Institute of Technology.

Wilmore won the 200-yard breaststroke -- the last individual event of the meet -- with a time of 2:33.31.

Two other men swam SUNYAC qualifying cut times during the meet at the Steele Hall Natatorium. Freshman Cyrus Salehi (Fairport/Fairport) qualified in the 50-yard breaststroke (23.06) and the 100-yard freestyle (50.94). Senior Chris Oaks (Macedon/Palmyra-Macedon) qualfied in the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:25.37).

Salehi, freshman Eric Wilson (Syracuse/Manlius Pebble Hill), Oaks, and sophomore Kengo Yamada Ashikaga, Japan) combined to win the 400-yard freestyle relay.

The Blue Devils visit Edinboro at 1 p.m. Nov. 6.
