Hopson receives SUNYAC honor

FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Fredonia state thrower Julia Hopson (Poughkeepsie/Arlington) was named Most Outstanding Female Field Athlete of the meet by conference coaches after Saturday’s SUNYAC Track and Field championships.

Hopson won both women’s throwing events, setting a school record in the 20-pound weight with a throw of 15.76 meters and won the shot put with a throw of 12.39 meters.
