Hopson wins USTFCCCA regional award

BOSTON, Mass. -- Fredonia State junior Julia Hopson (Poughkeepsie/Arlington) has been chosen Atlantic Region Field Athlete of the year by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

She was one of 24 women honored from the eighth NCAA Division III regions in the country.

Hopson will be competing this weekend in the women's 20-pound weight throw at the NCAA Division III championship meet at Ohio Northern.
