Devils open outdoor season at Wake Forest

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Fredonia State women's highlights Saturday at the Wake Forest Open:

Jackie Majka (Depew) finished second in her flight of the high jump by clearing 1.55 meters;

Trisha Ippolito (Angola/Lake Shore) ran her second personal-best in two days with a 5:03.67 in the 1,500 meters, ninth on the all-time outdoor list;

Kate Brett (Webster/Webster-Schroeder), 1:06.32 in the 400-meter high hurdles, fifth on the all-time list;

Nicole C. Smith (Amherst) ran a personal-best 27.08 in the 200 meters, while Laura Dickerman (Corning/Corning-Painted Post West) ran 27.54. Men's highlights:

Geoff Lesch-Wragge (Fredonia) with a 4:01.39 in the 1500 meters;

Josh Guarino (Bergen/Byron-Bergen) won his 1,500-meter heat in 4:10.17. His twin brother Nick followed in 4:12.91.
